Svitanok, from Kiev, was due to stage an outdoor exhibition in Alnwick, Northumberland. Because of heavy rain it switched to an upstairs concert room, but the owner of a wool shop downstairs noticed the building was shaking.
Then to Dawn McMullen's horror, the ceiling caved in, showering her stock with dust, plaster and debris. She said: "I got a huge shock, but luckily there were no customers standing beneath."
