If you've always thought that Romeo and Juliet was a flaky conceit with callow youths at its heart, now's your chance to see it reimagined. The mighty Meryl Streep and distinguished Kevin Kline will play the star-cross'd lovers – for one night only – at an 18 June reading of Shakespeare's play in New York's Central Park.
The lines will take on a whole new resonance with these, well, seasoned actors. Will they be divorcees daring to love again? If you want to find out, tickets are $1,500.
