The new Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company has been named.
Gregory Doran, the current Chief Associate Director, replaces Michael Boyd, who announced he was stepping down last September.
Mr Doran joined the company 25 years ago as an actor and said he was "delighted" at the appointment. He added: "Michael Boyd and [Executive Director] Vikki Heywood have done an exceptional job, rebuilding the theatre and reasserting the principles of ensemble and collaboration, which I hope to continue."
He will formally take the post in September.
