Airport (8.30pm BBC1) As fog descends on Heathrow, a film crew is handily in place to record the disaster this spells for staff and passengers alike. This is the opening episode in the returning behind-the-scenes series, documenting all things that can go wrong air-transit wise. Some of last year's "stars" have been joined by new arrivals, such as Michele, duty officer for Terminal Three, and the theatrical Aeroflot supervisor, Jeremy, tonight in hot pursuit of the Moscow Symphony Orchestra.

Bliss (8.30pm ITV) Some may find him blonde and vacuous, but Simon Shepherd has certainly proved himself a puller in terms of ratings. Here the hunk sheds his Peak Practice medical doctorate in favour of a science degree, to investigate some strange goings-on down in Cambridge. The fine Lorcan Cranitch is the mad scientist in charge of some dodgy memory experiments.
