Nurse Karen Wood on medicated soaps and surgical sitcoms: 'There are terrible dramas like The Young Doctors and A Country Practice. The details are invariably wrong, even the bandaging. Practice is about a clinic and a vet's - if I was injured I'd go to the vet's. Nurses is quite funny. Let the Blood Run Free isn't, though I've known matrons like Dorothy Conniving-Bitch. Casualty scores for all-round accuracy. Most nurses have been in some of those situations.'
