It was billed as the episode that would break the Internet and it did not fail as Jon Snow, one of the most popular characters in the series, was betrayed by his Night’s Watch.

This video suggests that we’ve permanently suspended disbelief in relation to Game of Thrones.

Theon’s redemption and Arya’s revenge received raucous celebrations; while the death of Jon Snow saw reactions akin to the loss of a peer rather than a fictional character.
