Sophie Turner blames Emilia Clarke for Game of Thrones coffee cup-gate

Sophie Turner think she knows who's behind the stray coffee cup that found its way into the latest episode of Game of Thrones.

The HBO show's most recent outing, titled “The Last of the Starks”, featured a misplaced cup in a scene involving Clarke's character Daenerys Targaryen. The gaffe spawned masses of memes on social media and even prompted one of the show's art directors to jump to the series's defence.

Now, appearing on The Tonight Starring Jimmy Fallon, Turner - who plays Sansa Stark - jokingly blamed her Emilia Clarke.

"Well, look who it's placed in front of," she said, adding: "Emilia Clarke. She's the culprit."

She was responding to a question from "her biggest fan" and new husband Joe Jonas who sent a video into the show asking who was the person responsible for the error.

Earlier this week, Ser Davos Seaworth actor Liam Cunningham also blamed Clarke to which she jokingly called the "cheeky" actor a "bastard" in response.

You can find a ranking of every character – from worst best – here and the same for every episode below.

The show will be available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK.
