I’m a Celebrity viewers accuse show of central heating conspiracy as stars wear T-shirts around Gwrych Castle
Viewers pointed to the contestants’ warm-weather attire during late-night trials
Some I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! viewers are convinced of a conspiracy involving a secret central heating system in the latest series of the ITV reality show.
With production having moved from Australia to Wales as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the show’s contestants are being made to stay in a centuries-old castle that some say is haunted.
However, with the UK now entering its cold winter months, viewers are sceptical about the authenticity of the desolate castle setting.
Some have pointed to the fact that contestants appear to sit around at night wearing just T-shirts as evidence that the show’s producers have secretly installed some kind of central heating system in Gwrych Castle.
One viewer tweeted: “Do they have secret heating on in this castle? Everyone wearing T-shirts, it should be freezing.”

Someone else wrote: “I am convinced that this castle has central heating. They are walking around in short sleeve T-shirt’s half the time.”
Another wrote: “I’m sure they have bloody heating in that castle as no one looks cold!”
Wednesday’s episode saw the show’s celebrities, including Vernon Kay, Jessica Plummer, and Jordan North, sitting in the trial area in warm-weather clothing, despite it ostensibly being filmed in the middle of the night.
Last month, the Gwrych Castle Facebook page appealed for donations to help renovate the historical Welsh site with electricity and plumbing.
