Flora Shedden narrowly missed out on a place in the final during last week's semi after the judges decided she spent too long on decorative extras for her pieces rather than focussing on the quality of the job in hand.

Once again, innuendos have arguably been the star, with “Right bakers, time to reveal your cracks!” possibly our favourite of 2015.

Presented by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, this year's series has been the most-watched in Bake Off history, attracting an average audience of 12 million viewers.

Last year's Bake Off was won by Nancy Birtwhistle, after she beat Richard Burr and Luis Troyano in a tense final.
