Netflix has offered up numerous brilliant originals in the last few years, with House of Cards, Orange is the New Black and Narcos all modern day TV classics.

2016 brings a whole host of brand new shows (not including sequel series) to the streaming service, including the TV adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events, the Jessica Jones and Daredevil linked Luke Cage and the Full House sequel series Fuller House.

Altogether, there are 15 brand new shows coming to the service, originally rounded up by CBS. Here’s the list in full (quoted descriptions via Netflix).

3% - A dramatic sci-fi thriller that “questions the dynamics of society that imposes constant selection processes”.

Chelsea Does - "In her new documentary film series, Chelsea Handler delves into four topics that fascinate her: marriage, racism, Silicon Valley, and drugs."

The Crown - "This story reveals the political rivalries and romance behind Queen Elizabeth II's reign and the events that shaped the 2nd half of the 20th century."

Flaked - "Set in the insular world of Venice, California, Flaked is the serio-comic story of a self-appointed 'guru' who falls for the object of his best friend’s fascination. Soon the tangled web of half-truths and semi-b******* that underpins his all-important image and sobriety begins to unravel. Arnett plays Chip, a man doing his honest best to stay one step ahead of his own lies."

The Frontier - According to Variety, this Jason Momoa drama will follow “the chaotic and violent struggle to control wealth and power in the North American fur trade in the late 18th century.”

Fuller House - "The Full House adventures continue as D.J. Tanner-Fuller calls upon her sister Stephanie and friend Kimmy to move in and help raise her three boys."

The Get Down - "Told through the lives and music of a ragtag crew of South Bronx teens, The Get Down is a mythic saga of the transformation of 1970s New York City."

Lady Dynamite - a mockumentary based on Maria Bamford’s life.

Love - "Judd Apatow, Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin are bringing an unflinching, hilarious and excruciatingly honest take on modern relationships to Love ... Love follows Gus (Paul Rust from I Love You, Beth Cooper and Inglorious Basterds) and Mickey (Gillian Jacobs) as they navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment, and other things they were hoping to avoid."

Marvel’s Luke Cage - "In this Marvel live action series, a street-fighting ex-con battles crime on the streets of New York as the superhero, Luke Cage."

Marseille - "Robert Taro has been the mayor of Marseille for 25 years. Now he faces a merciless election against his young, ambitious former protégé."

The OA - Little is known about the OA except Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij will star in this apparent drama.

The Ranch - Again, not that much is known about this Ashton Kutcher starring series, but, according to Variety, it will focus on “a former pro football player who returns to Colorado to help run the family ranch business.”

A Series of Unfortunate Events - Based on Lemony Snicket’s books of the same name, the TV show will hopefully be a just adaptation unlike the Jim Carrey starring film.

Stranger Things - "When a young boy vanishes, a small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one strange little girl.

Netflix s subscriber growth was impressive

Only Chelsea Down and Fuller House have release dates (23 January and 26 February respectively). There are also a host of Netflix shows returning, including Orange is the New Black, House of Cards and Marco Polo.
