BBC 2015 trailer: Sherlock, Doctor Who and more shows teased in New Year clip
Benedict Cumberbatch and Peter Capaldi will return to their popular roles
BBC1 has revealed its 2015 trailer, offering a sneak peek at what viewers have to look forward to this coming year.
From established, popular shows like Sherlock and Call the Midwife to upcoming new series Poldark and The Big Painting Challenge, the next 12 months in the TV world look set to be exciting.
The two-minute teaser hears Tom Jones saying "Let us know when you are ready to start because the suspense is killing me!" as a judge on The Voice.
Jenna Coleman is staying on as Peter Capaldi’s companion for a ninth series of Doctor Who, while the hotly-awaited adaptation of JK Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy is also on the way.

Kris Marshall can be seen in Death in Paradise, and Sarah Lancashire returns for a second series of crime drama Happy Valley and Lord Sugar heads up another round of The Apprentice.
Rita Ora replaces Kylie Minogue as a coach on The Voice, while Last Tango in Halifax, Strictly Come Dancing and The Great British Bake Off will all be back on the small screen.

Other shows heading for our living rooms include Luther, The Sun Trap, Billion Dollar Chicken Shop, The Hunt, Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell and, of course, EastEnders.
