The latest episode of Better Call Saul made good on Vince Gilligan's promise that Breaking Bad characters will be showing up in the prequel series' second season.
Following on from last week's appearance of Hector Salamanca (Mark Margolis), the bell-pressing wheelchair-bound drug runner, this week's cameos arrived in the scenes involving Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) who's been getting himself deeper into trouble with the Salamanca clan with each episode.
The Cousins - Leonel and Marco Salamanca - are two of Breaking Bad's most malevolent characters, but with the arrival of the twins (played by Daniel and Luis Moncada), it seems things are about to get a lot worse for Mike.
This being a prequel, we know, of course, that he will make it to the end of the show (well, Better Call Saul, anyway; let's not think about his Breaking Bad fate).

Talking about the deployment of these characters, the episode's writer Gennifer Hutchison told Variety:
"I was a little hesitant [to include them], because we just brought Hector back and you don’t want to overdo it with too many Breaking Bad people. It does make sense, they are his nephews and they’re connected to the family. As we got closer and closer to the actual production, we got more excited about the idea of seeing them a little earlier in their lives before they turn into the scary murder-bots that we know and love them as on Breaking Bad."
