Having seen huge ratings thanks to its Breaking Bad forebear, spin-off Better Call Saul is returning to AMC on 15 February, 2016 at 10pm.

There’s no word on a Netflix UK and US release date yet, but it’s a fairly safe bet the streaming service will be setting each episode live at the same time or the following morning as it did with season 1.

Update: There is now! Netflix: 'Better Call Saul will return to Netflix on 16 February, 2016.'

The series opener will face competition from the Grammy Awards on CBS, and moves to a Monday out of its traditional Sunday slot for a week due to it falling on a holiday weekend.

Better Call Saul had the second-highest-rated first season in cable history, attracted seven Emmy nominations and winning two Critics’ Choice TV Awards (Bob Odenkirk for Best Actor, Jonathan Banks for Best Supporting Actor), though if we’re being completely honest it failed to live up to the quality of Breaking Bad, regardless of if it was going for a different tone or not.

Filming on the second season took place in Albuquerque over the summer, with one scene involved a B-29 bomber plane.

Earlier in the year, we spoke to co-creator Peter Gould about the creative concerns of making a prequel.
