Betty White has worked with almost everyone in Hollywood, won dozens of awards, and remains universally adored the world over. Impressively, at 95-years-old, she’s still working in Television and giving fantastic interviews.

So, what’s the secret to a long, active life?

“Enjoy life,” White told Parade Magazine. “Accentuate the positive, not the negative. It sounds so trite, but a lot of people will pick out something to complain about, rather than say, ‘Hey, that was great!’ It’s not hard to find great stuff if you look.”

She then added how she also loves vodka and hot dogs, “probably in that order.”

White applied the same philosophy to making it big in Hollywood, explaining how, despite being turned away by producers during her 20s, she persevered.

“You just keep plugging away. You don’t give up,” she told the publication, later adding: “I know it sounds corny, but I try to see the funny side and the upside, not the downside. I get bored with people who complain about this or that. It’s such a waste of time."
