Blankety Blank to make ITV comeback following 14 years off air
'UK audiences love a good game show'
Following 14 years off air, cult TV show Blankety Blank is set to make a comeback having been recommissioned by ITV.
Sources told The Sunday People: “Blankety Blank was such a huge hit in the 80s and ITV bosses want to replicate that success.”
The show debuted in 1979, with Terry Wogan acting as host until 1983 when he was succeeded by Les Dawson, who appeared on the show until 1990.
Paul O’Grady took over as host when the BBC brought back Blankety Blank in 1997, moving over to ITV in 2001 when it was taken off-air in 2002.
