BBC nature series Blue Planet II is being turned into a live concert show with tickets set to be released later this week.
Key moments from episodes of the critically-acclaimed documentary show, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, will be screened accompanied by a live symphony orchestra performing the soundtrack which was composed by Bleeding Fingers Music, a company co-founded by Hans Zimmer (Inception).
Blue Planet II: Live in Concert will begin in March 2019 travelling around numerous cities including Bournemouth, Cardiff, London and Sheffield.
Memorable moments from the series, which scored huge ratings on BBC One in 2017, will be shown on a 200 square metre-sized 4K Ultra HD state-of-the-art screen.
Mat Way, global director of live entertainment at BBC Studios, said: “We are delighted to partner with FKP Scorpio for Blue Planet II: Live in Concert. It is an incredible concept bringing the BBC's groundbreaking footage from a BAFTA award-winning series to the UK arena stage for fans to enjoy.”
Blue Planet II arrived 16 years after the first series and provided insight into coral reefs, sea pollution and the bobbit (never forget)>
