The new bride of 2011's Strictly Come Dancing champ Harry Judd was unable to sleep on the eve of their wedding - because she was worried about remembering the moves to their first dance.

The McFly drummer tied the knot with violinist Izzy Johnston in a church ceremony, attended by his bandmates and pals such as Robbie Savage.

The newlyweds are pictured on their wedding day on a lawn of lit candles in Hello! magazine.

They said they rehearsed a spectacular dance with lifts and spins which had been choreographed by Strictly professional Ian Waite.

The couple put in eleven hours of rehearsal - nine of those under the eye of their coach - as they perfected the routine to Michael Buble's "Can't Help Falling in Love".

But former Escala musician Johnston admitted: "The night before the wedding I didn't sleep because I was going through the steps in my head."

Judd - who won the dance contest just over a year ago - arranged for Strictly announcer Alan Dedicoat to record a special greeting ahead of their first dance.

Dedicoat said: "Live from St Michael's Manor, performing an American Smooth, Izzy Judd and her dance partner, Harry Judd."

They married at St Nicholas's Church in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, shortly before Christmas, and held their reception at nearby St Michael's Manor.

Judd said: "It was just perfection. Genuinely the best day ever. Izzy looked absolutely beautiful."

Judd also performed with his McFly bandmates - who were among 11 ushers - including an acoustic version of The Beach Boys' "Don't Worry Baby", accompanied by a string quartet, piano and choir. The song was chosen because it had been playing when Judd proposed.

Guests, who also included Kara Tointon and Matt and Emma Willis, later tucked into a cake which was topped by a glitterball trophy, in a nod to his Strictly win.

The full interview is in the latest edition of Hello! which is out now.
