David O. Russell making TV series starring Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore
It would be his first proper foray into television

A potentially huge TV series is being cooked up from three Hollywood heavyweights, American Hustle director David O. Russell and Oscar-winning actors Robert De Niro and Julianne Moore.
The show doesn’t have a network yet (nor a production company) but it will surely be highly sought after, and The Hollywood Reporter claims there have already been multiple offers for it sight unseen.
Russell frequently collaborates with De Niro, working with him on Silver Linings Playbook, American Hustle and Joy, but this will be his first time working with Moore.
It is also interesting to note that this is just the latest example of a film director heading to the small screen, which is increasingly regarded as the best place for quality scripted content.
There is no word on the plot/premise for the series yet, but Russell expected to begin pitching it next week when he gets back from his vacation.
Scott Lambert, Alexandra Milchan and Megan Ellison are tagged to produce.
