Dennis Rodman calls Susanna Reid 'Cynthia' and 'Cindy' in GMB interview

Dennis Rodman forgot Susanna Reid’s name during a car crash interview on Good Morning Britain, so renamed her “Cindy” and “Cynthia”.

The Nineties basketball star, who has been thrust back into the spotlight thanks to the Michael Jordan documentary The Last Dance, was appearing on the news show via video link to Los Angeles.

The bad connection between Rodman, Reid and fellow presenter Piers Morgan meant that Rodman couldn’t hear many of the questions asked of him, while he expressed confusion over who he was talking to.

Asked by Reid whether he and Jordan had reconnected in the wake of the documentary, Rodman said: “I’ve talked to Jordan, and the sad thing about – Piers, I want you guys – Cindy? Cynthia? That’s your name – Cindy, right?”

After a technical glitch ensured neither Reid nor Morgan could hear what he was saying, Rodman assumed he had lost his connection to the UK.

“Hello? Is anyone there?” Rodman asked.

“The sound is a little bit tricky,” Reid replied, before Rodman attempted to answer the question again. She did not address Rodman calling her the wrong name.

Viewers were elated by the mistake, with one tweeting: “Dennis Rodman calling Susanna Reid Cindy and she acting like she didn’t hear.”

Another added: “Cindy Reid has a certain ring to it.”
