Apparently the new season is 'epic' from the offset

Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke has already read the script for season 6 and apparently it goes from "shocking moment to shocking moment".

I mean, she would say that, but still her words are a good omen after an arguably muted season 5.

"There’s so much in store for her," Clarke said of the Mother of Dragons and Breaker of Chains. "I’m saying that obviously because I’ve read the script for next season. Mwah ha ha! I know stories. It’s really exciting."

She also said that the season will not start off slowly as with previous ones.

"This season coming up, that we’re about to film, there’s none of that," she added to the Los Angeles Times. "It’s just go, go, go, go. Shocking moment to shocking moment. Epic moment to epic moment. It’s mental; it’s epic. And definitely Dany’s a part of it."

Game of Thrones began filming last week, with the actors for Bran Stark, King Tommen, Lancel Lannister and more reuniting to shoot scenes in Ireland.

The Castillo de Zafra in Guadalajara, Spain, will be one of the filming locations, which fans are speculating could serve as the Tower of Joy and the setting for a flashback featuring the return of Ned Stark.

Game of Thrones leads the Emmy nominations this year, with 24 nods.

Season 6 is expected to launch on HBO and Sky Atlantic in April 2016.
