Friends reunion: Fake post fools thousands of people, goes viral
It hasn't just been made official, unfortunately

Despite concluding over a decade ago, fans of Friends remain ever-eager for the sitcom to return to TV screens, news regarding cast reunions often going viral.
No surprises, then, that a Facebook post by "David Schwimer" implying the original cast would return next year was spread across the internet.
Over the weekend, 362,000 people shared, 177,000 liked, and 245,000 commented on the post, featuring an image with ‘F-A-L-L 2-0-1-8’ written in the show's title card’s style and an NBC logo.
A message alongside the photo stated: “It has just been made official! All 6 cast members have signed on and we're back for ONE more season!”
As you may have suspected, the post was a fake; Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courteney Cox), Ross (David Schwimmer), Chandler (Matthew Perry), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow) and Joey (Matt LeBlanc) will not be returning anytime soon.
Two things that gave the prankster away: ‘David Schwimer' is a misspelling of David Schwimmer, while the handle @RossGheler is also incorrect.
Kudrow recently spoke about the chances of the cast getting back together for another season, saying: "I don't see it happening. It would be fun, but what would it be about?
"Think about it. The thing we liked best about the show was that they were 20-somethings and they were their own family. Now, they all have families, so what are we going to watch?"
