Game of Thrones season 6: Emilia Clarke wants Daenerys to take the throne so she can order 'close-ups of all the boys’ penises'

The actor also discussed why the show has managed to attract such a huge female fanbase despite its face value as "blood, tits, dragons, swearwords"

Emilia Clarke has killed two birds with one stone; coming up with the perfect ending to Game of Thrones, while subsequently solving its controversies over the predominence of female nudity.

"I want to see Daenerys and her three dragons share the throne," she told Glamour of her dream ending for the series. "Eat goat they’ve barbecued. And bring back all the pretty boys, get them to take their trousers down, and be like, 'I’m now the queen of everything! I’d like close-ups of all the boys’ penises, please.'"

Clarke's certainly aware of the gender disparity in the show's treatment of nudity; agreeing somewhat with Ian McShane's assertion the show is "only tits and dragons", she recognises it's easy dismiss its face value as "blood, tits, dragons, swearwords".

Yet, it's a series which also boasts a significant female fanbase, which Clarkes believes stems from the fact, "the story lines are fascinating depictions of the struggle for power. And women are in on that conversation!"

Furthermore, the show's clearly made a move to balance the scales in recent seasons; as Clarke recalls the memorable sex scene between Danaerys and current love interest Daario (Michiel Huisman); "which began with me saying, “Take off your clothes,” and then you got to see his perfect bottom."

Elsewhere, Clarke shared her views on the controversial rape scene between Daenerys and new husband Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) in season one; discussing that, at least, there is an importance in Daenerys' own actions after the event takes place.

In the US, season six will debut on HBO on the 24 April at 9pm. It will be simulcast in the UK on Sky Atlantic, at 2am on the 25 April.
