Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke says episode 5 is ‘bigger’ than the Battle of Winterfell
While she added that all the forthcoming episodes ‘are going to be mental’, it appears that episode five could contain another huge battle

WARNING: Spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8
For any Game of Thrones fans who may be thinking the Battle of Winterfell was the biggest thing about season eight, Emilia Clarke has some reassuring words to share.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor, who plays Daenerys Targaryen on the show, teased that episode five is even “bigger” than episode three.
While she added that all the forthcoming episodes “are going to be mental”, it appears that episode five could contain another huge battle, potentially against Cersei Lannister and the Golden Company.
“Find the biggest TV you can,” she teased. That doesn’t mean the rest of the season won’t also have plenty of surprises in store, as she said: “I mean four and five and six, they’re all insane.”
Episode four appears to move events to King’s Landing, as the survivors of the Night King battle prepare to take on Cersei Lannister, Euron Greyjoy and The Golden Company.
Photos show Jon, Daenerys, Tormund, Grey Worm and Samwell bearing torches in memory of Theon, Beric, Lyanna and Ser Jorah.
David Nutter – best known for directing the infamous Red Wedding – returns to helm episode four. Nutter also directed the first two episodes of the season. Showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss have written the episode.
Game of Thrones is available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK, and on HBO in the US.
