Game of Thrones season 8 episode 6: HBO releases photos from series finale
Tyrion looks very concerned about the new Queen of Westeros
**Spoilers for Game of Thrones season eight, episode five ‘The Bells’ ahead**
HBO has released new photos from the forthcoming final episode of Game of Thrones.
The cable network normally releases around six or seven photographs the week before an impending episode – however, for the very last episode of the show, they have only released two.
The first features Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), now Queen of Westeros, looking over her army as King’s Landing burns in the background.
In the second image, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) stands in King’s Landing, looking very concerned. See both below.
The Independent‘s critic described the penultimate episode – titled “The Bells” – as being “out-of-tune” and criticised the episode’s writing, asking: “What is the logic here?”

Meanwhile, Varys actor Conleth Hill called his character’s demise “frustrating” and that the “last couple seasons weren’t my favourite”. Lena Headey has also spoken cautiously about her character’s death, revealing the reason why she initially felt “mixed” about the scene.

The final episode of Game of Thrones continues every Sunday. The show is available on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK.
