Gogglebox viewers in hysterics as stars watch 'bonkers' Tiger King

Googlebox viewers were entertained as the show’s stars watched Netflix’s “bonkers” documentary series Tiger King.

Since it arrived on the streaming service last month, the show– following animal trader Joe Exotic and his rivalry with activist Carole Baskin – was watched by more people in its first 10 days than the second season of Stranger Things, and an eighth episode will be released tomorrow (12 April)

The stars of Gogglebox haven’t been able to evade the phenomenon either.

Lee, who clearly had no idea about the show, was especially shocked by the show’s many twists and turns, branding Exotic “a f***ing nutcase”.

Going by the audience’s reaction to the episode, which broke series records for Channel 4, it was just as entertaining seeing their reactions than watching Tiger King itself.

“There is only one thing better than watching #TigerKing on Netflix... Its watching the #gogglebox cast reacting to it! Face with tears of joy,” one viewer tweeted.

Echoing their quotes, which included one star calling the show “very different from The Lion King, one person tweeted: “Loved their reactions.”

“Watching everyone’s reaction on Gogglebox to Joe Exotic was far better than the series itself!” one person concluded.

Tiger King is available to stream on Netflix now while Gogglebox can be streamed on 4od.
