The second series of the revived oil-tycoon soap Dallas will continue shooting despite the death of one of its stars, Larry Hagman, 81, on Friday.

A spokesman for Channel 5, the UK broadcaster of the classic US drama, said the script would be re-written to incorporate his death. Hagman played villain J R Ewing and helped the soap become a global hit in the 1980s.
