High Fidelity series starring Zoe Kravitz cancelled by Hulu after just one season

The TV series High Fidelity, which starred Zoë Kravitz, has been cancelled by Hulu after just one season.

The series, a gender-switched adaptation of the best-selling novel by Nick Hornby, had received positive reviews for its first run of episodes.

Kravitz, who played music-obsessed record store owner Rob, discussed the cancellation on social media, posting behind-the-scenes pictures from the show’s production.

“I wanna give a shout out to my #highfidelity family,” she wrote. ”Thank you for all the love and heart you put into this show.

“I’m in awe of all of you. and thank you to everyone who watched, loved and supported us,” she added. ”#breakupssuck.”

High Fidelity was previously adapted into a film in 2000, starring John Cusack and Jack Black.

The serialised version, which premiered on US streaming service Hulu on Valentine’s day 2020, lasted just 10 episodes.

Kravitz is currently set to star as Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) alongside Robert Pattinson in the forthcoming DC comics film, The Batman.

While production on the film has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, The Batman is still currently scheduled to be released on 1 October next year.
