Homeland: Claire Danes saying season 8 will be the last
'She's a lot, this Carrie-freakin' Mathison character. I'll be ready for a reprieve from that'

With the seventh season of Homeland currently underway, Claire Danes has been speaking about the show’s future – or lack thereof.
Speaking to Howard Stern, the actor was asked whether Homeland would come to an end after the upcoming eighth season, to which she answered: “Yeah, that’s it.”
Showtime – the American network that produces the show – has confirmed that there are currently no plans beyond season eight at the present time.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that Showtime are reluctant to say when the show will end as they may be planning to continue with a new showrunner and new cast. Alex Gansa, the current showrunner, has previously said season eight will be his last.
