So you’ve looked up who’s going to be on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! this year, only to find that these names mean nothing to you.

Never fear, henceforth is your definitive guide to this year’s, erm, ‘celebrity’ contestants.

Tony Hadley

You may not think you know who Tony Hadley is, but there’s a chance you’ve come across him without realising before now. The lead singer of Spandau Ballet shot to stardom in the early 80s, with a number of the band’s tracks reaching the UK Top 10.

The band split up in the 90s over a court case involving royalties, but reformed once again in 2009 releasing another album and playing several more gigs.

Tony certainly hasn’t been wasting any time in recent years. He once performed the interval act for the Croatian Eurovision Song Contest selection show, and has officially performed as part of the world’s highest gig in Boeing 767 flying at 43,000 feet.

Jorgie Porter

Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter is actually fairly recognisable. Her character Theresa McQueen came to the show in 2008. Despite recently appearing on a celebrity edition of Channel 4’s First Dates, Jorgie is reported to be ‘kind of single’.

She announced that she would be joining the show after her co-star Steph Davis had to be pulled out because of a nut allergy that would make camping in the jungle too dangerous.

Chris Eubank

Former professional boxer Chris Eubank, who’s nickname is ‘Simply The Best’ is rumoured to be one of the most expensive I’m a Celebrity contestants, with ITV paying out £200,000 to get him on board.

Chris has taken a lot of hits in his time; he’s rumoured to have a cast iron chin, he was involved in a fatal car accident, and he once hopped into a beer lorry while it was unloading and drove it away because he thought it was causing obstruction.

When he’s not driving badly, Chris spends his time tailoring suits on Savile Row.

Kieron Dyer

Former midfielder Kieron Dyer retired from football in 2013, after suffering many injuries in the last few years of his career.

His longest run was with Newcastle United where he played for 8 years before moving over to West Ham.

Susannah Constantine

You may not remember her name, but fashion journalist Susannah Constantine used to be everybody’s fashion guru.

She’s one half of fashion advice duo Trinny and Susannah, who are most famous for their BBC series What Not To Wear.

The pair have dressed over 5,000 women and together the have written several bestselling fashion advice books, including their debut What Not To Wear which made £8.7m worth of sales.

Yvette Fielding

Blue Peter’s youngest presenter Yvette Fielding’s TV career started at just 19 years of age. Yvette and her husband set up their own television production company in 2002, and their first show was ghost-hunting show Most Haunted, which continues to be popular in the US.

This isn’t her first run in with I’m a Celebrity, as she once visited an abandoned hospital with previous winners and contestants in her show ‘Ghosthunting With… I’m a Celebrity.’

Ghosts are Yvette’s niche, and she has been nicknamed the ‘first lady’ of the paranormal, after spending most of her life talking about ghosts on various television shows. Basically, if there’s a haunted house and it’s on the telly, Yvette Fielding is probably there. This probably doesn’t bode well for the jungle contestants.

Brian Friedman

Probably most recognisable from his work on The X Factor, choreographer Brian Friedman is the man behind the dance moves of many popular artists.

He has worked closely with Britney Spears, many of her major performances and music videos, such as ‘I’m A Slave 4U’, ‘Toxic’ and the Dream Within A Dream tour.

Brian has worked with the likes of NSYNC and Prince and has worked as a judge on So You Think You Can Dance? and a choreographer and dancer on Dancing With The Stars.

George Shelley

(ITV)

Very popular among teenage girls, the teeny tiny George Shelley is a member of X Factor contestant group Union J, who came fourth in the show in 2012.

Despite not making the final, the band have had considerable success, with their first album reaching number six in the UK album chart.

His band are currently working on a third album, though presumably with some delay while one of their singers goes off to eat kangaroo balls.

Lady Colin Campbell

Most famous for her biographies about Princess Diana and the rest of the royal family, Lady Colin Campbell (real name Georgia Arianna) is a force to be reckoned with.

Her book bestselling Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody Knows was the subject of controversy when she revealed Diana’s struggle with bulimia and her affair with James Hewitt. However, it is now widely believed that her claims were true.

Duncan Bannatyne

Duncan Bannatyne (Colin McPherson)

Most people would recognise entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne from his ten years on the BBC’s Dragon’s Den.

He started his business career selling ice cream out of a van during the formidable ‘Glasgow Ice Cream Wars’ period. He currently owns a number of health clubs.

Despite having a net worth of £175m, Duncan told the Telegraph that he never spends more than £2000 a week and is “counting pennies”.

...and the reported, as yet unconfirmed trio...

Spencer Matthews

You didn’t think you’d be able to avoid the Made In Chelsea stars did you? Folly! It’s not entirely clear what Spencer Matthews does for a living, but I can tell you that a quick Google search reveals that he recently kissed a girl named Emma. So pretty exciting stuff.

He also appeared on Channel 5’s reality TV show The Bachelor, wherein a girl named Khloe beat out 23 other girls for a date with him. She then went and snogged someone from TOWIE instead.

Ferne McCann

Well we wouldn’t want to look like we had a class problem. That’s right, Ferne stars on ITVs hit show The Only Way Is Essex (sadly, she’s not the one that kissed Spencer’s girlfriend).

She’s well known for her alluring figure, and recently modelled a range for the US underwear brand By Caprice.

Vicky Pattison

A reality TV veteran, Vicky Pattison rose to fame on MTV’s Geordie Shore and appeared on reality(ish) dating show Ex On The Beach. Vicky recently starred in her very own show Judge Geordie, where we see her travelling around the country trying to resolve people’s relationship problems.

It’s rumoured that her and TOWIE star Ferne McCann may ‘clash’ on I’m A Celeb as they have been rivals in the past.

Catch the I'm a Celebrity launch show on Sunday 15 November at 9pm on ITV.
