YouTuber Jake Paul appears to flout lockdown rules during ‘roadtrip’ with girlfriend
Residents in Los Angeles have been told to only leave their homes for ‘essential’ journeys
YouTube star Jake Paul appears to have ignored lockdown rules by going on a roadtrip with his friends and girlfriend Julia Rose.
The 22-year-old, who is the brother of YouTuber Logan Paul, took a photo of himself with his girlfriend and friends in his car with the caption, “Roadtrip”, and uploaded it onto his Instagram Stories.
Paul also posted a video which showed his girlfriend sitting on his lap while he drove above the words: “We’re in love!”
Another showed Paul in a sexual pose with Rose by the side of the road.
Paul and Rose have been isolating together in Los Angeles. State authorities have advised residents to only venture out for essential journeys to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The public is also being urged to social distance and avoid contact with friends or family from different households. It is unclear if the other car passengers have been living in Paul’s home.
In February this year, Paul was widely mocked for attempting to start a bizarre online feud with artist Zayn Malik.
The YouTuber tweeted a string of claims that Malik had been “rude” to him while both were attending the Tyson Fury v Deontay Wilder match in Las Vegas, before lockdowns were put in place.
“Almost had to clap up Zane [sic] from 1 direction because he is a little guy and has an attitude and basically told me to f*** off for no reason when I was being nice to him,” Paul tweeted.
Malik did not respond, but his girlfriend, model Gigi Hadid, tweeted: “Lol cause he doesn’t care to hang w you and your embarrassing crew of YouTube groupies…?

“’Home alone’ with his best friends like a respectful king cause he has me, sweetie. Unbothered by your irrelevant ugly a**. Go to bed…”
Paul later deleted his tweets and apologised, claiming he had been “drunk” when he wrote the accusations.
