Jeremy Clarkson’s infamous fracas that ended his BBC career is to be commemorated on a plaque at the Hotel in which it happened.
Simonstone Hall will put up a plaque that reads: “Here lies the BBC career of Jeremy Clarkson who had a fracas on this spot, 4th March 2015. The rest is legend.”
They posted a photo of the plate on their Facebook page with the caption: “We were presented with this plaque from one of our guests last night [Saturday, 21 November]! We think it would be quite appropriate to put it on the patio where the fracas took place!”

According to reports earlier this month, the producer assaulted - Oisin Tymon - is allegedly suing the former Top Gear presenter for racial discrimination.
Tymon drove himself to hospital after the incident and was left with a swollen and bleeding lip, according to the BBC’s internal investigation. He did not press charges at the time and has never spoken publicly about the incident.
Clarkson and his former Top Gear co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond have since signed a lucrative contract for a new motoring show with Amazon Prime worth a reported £10 million.
