All four coaches from The Voice are to be reunited when the series returns to BBC1 next year.

Sir Tom Jones, Will.i.am, Jessie J and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue have all signed up for the show when it comes back next spring.

Price Tag singer Jessie J has agreed a further series despite announcing in her recent autobiography Nice To Meet You that she would not return. She had already changed her mind by the time the book was published in the summer.

All four judges are understood to be receiving the same level of fee they were paid for the first series.

The show pulled in strong audiences during its early stages for the first series, particularly when the coaches were choosing contenders with the aid of their spinning seats.

Ratings fell as the series went on, but it is still said to be BBC1's biggest new entertainment show on record with an average 9.2 million viewers across the series, including viewers on catch-up.

The programme was won by Leanne Mitchell, who had been coached by Sir Tom Jones. She won a recording deal with music giant Universal.

O'Donoghue said: "The level of singers auditioning has gone through the roof and I can't wait for the rest of the UK to hear and enjoy all the undiscovered artists there are out there."

Will.i.am said: "This season is gonna be doper than last year."

Mark Linsey, the BBC's controller of entertainment commissioning, said: "All of them are hugely talented individuals and their immense knowledge and first-hand experience in the music industry makes it a line-up that is authentic and second to none."
