John Krasinski reunites with Office cast to recreate wedding dance for couple on Zoom
Krasinski officiated the Office fans’ wedding for his ‘Some Good News’ series
The cast of The Office surprised a pair of fans on their wedding day to recreate the show’s memorable wedding dance scene.
John Krasinski had been asked to officiate an online wedding for Susan and John, with the actor sharing the clip on his Some Good News coronavirus lockdown YouTube series.
The couple were joined by their family and friends over Zoom, but with their own proposal having been inspired by The Office, Krasinski joked that he would be their best man while actor Jenna Fischer joined them to serve as maid of honour.
After officiating, Krasinski surprised the newly married couple with a performance of the show’s legendary dance scene from Jim and Pam’s wedding, which sees the workers of Dunder Mifflin dance to “Forever” by Chris Brown.
Joining the actor was Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms, Angela Kinsey, Kate Flannery, Brian Baumgartner, Phyllis Smith, Oscar Nunez and Creed Bratton, all of whom danced in their own homes.
“There’s only one way out of this wedding, and Susan and John, because you so elegantly ripped off our show for your proposal, I feel like it’s only fitting that you rip off the wedding too,” Krasinski said.
Based on the UK series of the same name, The Office ran for nine seasons in the US from 2005 to 2013.
