The Independent Woodstock Literary Festival opens tomorrow, and we are giving readers the chance to attend, and take part in, one of the keynote events of the festival.

The Independent Live! debate on Thursday evening will discuss the proposition 'Has reality TV debased modern culture?' and panellists will be Dom Joly and Alex James, both of whom have appeared on reality programmes, together with Independent columnists Tracey MacLeod and Johann Hari.

The event will be chaired by Penny Smith, the GMTV presenter, and takes place at the Marlborough School, Woodstock, Oxfordshire, this Thursday at 7pm. Admission is free, but space is limited so booking is essential at www.woodstockliteraryfestival.com. And if you want to submit a question for the panel, please email your suggestion to l.smith@independent.co.uk.
