Martin Scorsese's new documentary about Bob Dylan now has a release date on Netflix.

The film, titled Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story, will launch worldwide on 12 June, the streaming platform announced on Thursday.

Scorsese's movie, which was first announced in January this year, focuses on Dylan’s Thunder Revue Tour.

The tour saw Dylan perform in the United States and Canada accompanied by a group of musicians, including Joan Baez, between 1975 and 1976.

A description of the film on Netflix reads: "Truth and myth are blurred in Martin Scorsese's film experience about Bob Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue tour in the fall of 1975."

Back in 2005, Scorsese delivered another Dylan-themed documentary with No Direction Home.

The acclaimed film focuses on Dylan's rise to fame in the early sixties, his 1965 electric turn, and other parts of his earlier career.

A 14-CD box set documenting Dylan's Rolling Thunder Revue will be released as a companion to Scorsese's new film, Rolling Stone reported.
