Master on None season 2 release date: Aziz Ansari confirms Netflix show to return in 2017
Aziz 'needs some time to refill my head'

Aziz Ansari’s first foray into scripted comedy, Master of None, really seemed to strike a chord with a lot of people in its first season, so it’s unsurprising that Netflix has renewed it for a second.
The bad news is you’ll have to wait a little while for it, as Aziz confirmed on Twitter today the new episodes won’t be arriving until 2017.
“Master of None Season 2 coming 2017,” he tweeted. “Thanks for all the support everyone!!"
Aziz and co-creator Alan Yang last month explained why the second season would take a little longer.
"We're figuring it out; I need some time to refill my head," Ansari said. "We have a bunch of ideas bouncing around in our heads - it's a little early to say anything."
Yang added: “We really put a lot of aspects of our life into this show, and that's part of the reason we don't want to rush into season two."
A lot of the themes in the first season were anecdotes from Ansari’s stand-up shows exploded into plot kernels, so it will be interesting to see whether he draws on these again or comes up with new set-ups.
You can expect a hell of a lot of original content from Netflix this year, with the streaming service ploughing $6 billion into it.
