Nadiya Hussain's career has sky-rocketed since winning The Great British Bake Off last year.

Not only is she a guest presenter on Loose Women, but she is a regular reporter on The One Show, writes a weekly column for a national newspaper and previously baked the Queen’s 90th Birthday Cake.

Working once again with the BBC, Hussain is to front her own travel cookery programme for BBC One, given the incredible working title The Chronicles of Nadiya.

Love Productions, who also made The Great British Bake-off, revealed the spin-off show will come in two parts and will see Hussain explore her culinary roots. The 31-year-old will visit her birthplace in Luton and her ancestral home in rural Bangladesh, all while cooking for friends and family.

“Nadiya’s story on Bake Off touched the hearts of the nation,” The BBC’s head of documentaries commissioning, Patrick Holland said. “We are delighted that she will be using her cooking skills to take us on a journey to such an extraordinary and changing land.”
