Next in Fashion: Netflix show hosted by Queer Eye’s Tan France cancelled after one season

Next in Fashion lasted just 10 episodes before the streaming service pulled the plug

Queer Eye star Tan France‘s Netflix series Next in Fashion has been cancelled by the streaming service after just one season.

Next in Fashion was hosted by France and fashion designer Alexa Chung, and featured 18 designers competing in challenges influenced by design styles and trends across the globe.

Guest judges throughout season one included Eva Chen, Elizabeth Stewart, Monique Lhuillier, Elizabeth Van Der Goltz, Phillip Lim, and Tommy Hilfiger.

Netflix have increasingly started to cancel series after just one season; recent cancellations include Astronomy Club, Messiah, Spinning Out, Soundtrack and AJ and the Queen.

France can still be seen on Queer Eye, however; Netflix announced earlier this year that the hit reality show had been renewed for a sixth season.

Its fifth season can be watched on Netflix now, and sees the Fab Five – France, Antoni Porowski, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Bobby Berk – travel to Philadelphia to help transform the lives of the series’ contestants.

Queer Eye season six will take the team to Texas to ply their expertise.

Fans still have reason to hold out hope for another series of Next in Fashion; some programmes which have been cancelled by Netflix have been revived on other services or broadcasters, such as acclaimed animation Tuca & Bertie, which was recently picked up by Adult Swim, or multi-camera sitcom One Day at a Time, which was picked up by Pop.
