Perez Hilton has shared a video in which he cries over the fact that his account was banned on TikTok.

The celebrity blogger, author and entertainment personality begged TikTok star Charli D’Amelio for help as he explained that he had no idea why he was banned from the video sharing platform.

“The reason that TikTok gave me for permanently banning my account without any warning is ‘multiple community guidelines violations’,” he said.

“I am feeling numb, and I don't want to seem overly dramatic, but I feel like my world is crumbling. This feels like a death to me.”

The 42-year-old then revealed that he had contacted Charli D’Amelio, who has the largest number of TikTok followers on the platform at 100 million, in the hope that she might use her influence to reinstate him.

“Please, Charli D'Amelio, please message me back on Instagram. Please. Please help me. I know you don't owe me that, but I beg of you. I beg of you. I grovel,” he said.

Hilton had previously attracted a major backlash for criticising D’Amelio when she was 15 after she posted a video of herself dancing in a bikini.

In response, fans of the American dancer, now 16, launched a petition that attracted more than 228,000 signatures to have him banned from TikTok.

Hilton seemed to suggest that he had been banned after fans of popular TikTok users had reported his account for issues including harassment, bullying and nudity.

“But I have not done anything that's harassing or bullying, and TikTok is claiming that I am, just by sharing news and sharing my opinion,” he said.

“I feel really empty right now,” Hilton said as he concluded the message and began to tear up again.

Suggesting he may also have been banned for criticising TikTok itself, Hilton pledged to keep his thoughts about the platform private going forward.

Hilton released his memoir, TMI: My Life in Scandal, earlier this year.
