Pose is coming to an end after three seasons.
However, the season will only run for seven episodes, with its finale airing on 6 June. It is expected to come to BBC Two later this year.
Murphy said of the show’s conclusion: “We got to tell the exact story we wanted, as we wanted to tell it, and I’m incredibly honoured and grateful.”
Running for two seasons so far, Pose has been praised for its casting of Black and Latinx LGBTQ actors.
The series’s production team claimed that they had assembled the largest ever trans cast for a scripted series, with MJ Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Hailie Sahar, and Angelica Ross all playing lead roles.
Ryan Jamaal Swain, Billy Porter, Evan Peters, Kate Mara and James Van Der Beek also star.
Over the years, the show has been nominated for multiple awards, including Outstanding Drama Series at the Emmys and Best Television Series – Drama at the Golden Globes.
