Queer Eye star Antoni Porowski has revealed plans to open his own 'fast casual' restaurant in New York City.

During a cast panel at the 92nd Street Y in New York, the Montreal-born, New York-based chef announced that he would be creating his own dining experience.

"I’m all about, like, cheese and pork belly and decadence, and as a result of the increased vanity of being on camera all the time and working out and eating healthy, I’m developing a fast casual food concept restaurant that I’m gonna be opening here in New York," Queer Eye's resident culinary expert explained.

He then said that he wasn't "supposed to talk about it," but decided to do it anyway.

Porowski also divulged more information about his experience in the restaurant business during the talk.

"I was a busboy, a waiter, a manager, a sommelier... like...all of it from a family-run Polish restaurant, with like grandmas in the basement hand-making pierogies, to working at Bond Street for a while," he explained. "I’ve done it all."

He continued saying that his "experience" is based more on the front-of-house side, but he's always had a strong "respect" for chefs.

"I just thought of [Anthony] Bourdain … but, um, they’ve always been sort of like my rock stars and I’ve just always had a lot of respect for them, so for me I’ve always felt like I was sort of on the outside," Porowski said. "For whatever reason, I also like to perform, so I think that’s why I liked being a waiter. And I was a pretty damn good waiter."

In addition to Porowski's restaurant, he's also announced that he will publish a cookbook in 2019 of 100 recipes via Rux Martin, of publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

The second season of Queer Eye just premiered on Netflix last week.
