Don’t worry – your new emotional lifeline isn’t going anywhere soon.

Netflix has announced its renewing Queer Eye for a third season, only a day after the reality makeover show landed four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Structured Reality Program, Casting, Picture Editing, and Cinematography.

All five co-hosts - Antoni Porowski (food and wine expert), Bobby Berk (design), Karamo Brown (culture), Jonathan Van Ness (grooming), and Tan France (fashion) – are set to return.

The new eight-episode season has commenced production in Kansas City, Missouri, Netflix has said; the first two seasons focused on Georgia, with season 2 including Mexican bartender Leo, who refuses to grow up, and homeschooled Sean, who just needed a little bit of confidence.

A new take on Bravo’s show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, the first two seasons of Queer Eye debuted earlier this year on the streaming service to vast critical and popular acclaim.

The Independent‘s Tom Rasmussen wrote of season 2: “in a world where both things have become huge sites of conflict, Queer Eye is urgency disguised as frippery, as acceptance Trojan Horsing as entertainment, and it’s absolutely gay and glorious.”

The third season of Queer Eye is set to debut on Netflix in 2019.
