Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page is appearing on CBeebies Bedtime Stories for Mother’s Day on 14 March.

The star, who rose to fame playing the Duke of Hastings in the hit Netflix period drama, will read Rain Before Rainbows.

The rhyming story, by Smriti Halls, follows a little girl and her fox friend as they travel through a on a dark, scary night. Eventually, they find a new and hopeful land and the night turns into a bright and wonderful new day.

According to reports, Felicity Jones, Rag’n’Bone Man and Tom Hardy will also all feature on the show next week.

Celebrities who have already read the bedtime story include Dolly Parton, Orlando Bloom and David Schwimmer.

In a very different TV appearance, Page leaned into his “extremely hot sex man” role on Saturday Night Live when he made his hosting debut on the show last month.

“You probably recognise me from Bridgerton, the show that made everyone turn to their mums and say, ‘You know what? Never mind, I don’t think we should watch this together,’” Page said in his opening monologue, referencing the series’ graphic sex scenes.
