Lee Ryan & Nadiya Bychkova Cha Cha to 'The Power Of Love'

Lee Ryan has become the second celebrity to be ejected from 2018's Strictly Come Dancing.

The third week of the competition saw the celebrities and their partners go to the movies with their best Hollywood-inspired performances, including dances set to the soundtracks of Mamma Mia!, The Greatest Showman, and The Matrix.

The judges’s scores were combined with the results of the viewers’s votes to decide the lowest scoring two couples facing the dance off. This week, it came down to Lee Ryan and Nadiya Bychkova, plus Charles Venn and Karen Clifton.

Both couples performed their routines again, with Lee and Nadiya revisiting their Cha Cha Cha to "The Power Of Love" from Back To The Future and Charles and Karen performing their American Smooth to "Up Where We Belong" from An Officer and a Gentleman.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, and Bruno Tonioli chose to save Charles and Karen. Only Head Judge Shirley Ballas chose to save Lee & Nadiya, saying: “I would have gone with Lee on the musical performance from this evening.”

Lee said of his time on the show: “I’ve had a really lovely time, even though it’s been short it seems like I’ve been here a long time because it’s been so intense, it’s been amazing. I love these guys, I absolutely love every single one of them. There’s so much love in everyone it’s been a memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life, I really will.”

Sunday's Results show also saw the professional dancers perform in a modern take on Singin' in the Rain, while Grammy Award-winner Gladys Knight performed her Bond classic "Licence To Kill".

The remaining thirteen couples will return next week when Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday 13 October at 6.40pm, with the results show airing on Sunday 14 October at 7.45pm on BBC One.
