The debut episode of Star Trek: Discovery - a certified hit for US network CBS - dropped on Netflix internationally yesterday (25 September) with viewers delighted to see the streaming service has enhanced the experience for longtime Trekkies.
As pointed out by io9, those who went looking to turn on the streaming service's subtitle feature would have noticed a new option tucked away within the available languages alongside Arabic English, French, etc. - the constructed language spoken in Gene Roddenberry's franchise by Klingons.
This Easter Egg is a nice touch from Netflix who clearly appreciates the Trek series' cult following. It was likely a lengthy task to pull off also, so hats off to the streaming service - least of all because only a small number of people are said to be able to speak fluent Klingon around the world since its creation by Dr. Marc Okrand in 1979, the streaming service thought it'd be a nice touch.
