Stranger Things season 4 Valentine's Day trailer

Stranger Things stars Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard are at the centre of an awkward "hook up" joke made by their co-star.

Responding to an Instagram post prompting users to “tag two people that want to hook up with each other to make things awkward", Noah Schnapp – who plays Will Byers in the hit Netflix show – was spurred into action.

He then proceeded to tag Brown, 16, and Wolfhard, 17, into the post, which was especially mischievous considering Brown is reportedly dating the son of rugby player Jason Robinson.

Brown and Wolfhard’s Stranger Things characters, Eleven and Mike Wheeler, are romantically linked in the show.

Every Netflix production, including the popular show’s fourth season, has shut down production after Trump declared a “national emergency” over coronavirus.

David Harbour, who plays Hopper, recently claimed to know when Netflix was planning on releasing the new season, telling his followers: ”[It was] supposed to come out early next year, I think, although I don’t have authority on this.”
