Netflix might have just spent roughly the GDP of Hungary at Sundance (or tried to), but it shows no sign of slowing down in its commissioning, today announcing an original live-action series from Hasbro based on Stretch Armstrong.

You remember, the blonde, gel-filled macho guy who had inexplicably stretchy limbs.

Scheduled for 2017, the first season will consist of 26 episodes and centre on teenager Jake Armstrong and his two best friends, who are all accidentally exposed to an experiment chemical, making them... stretchy, I guess.

They will form Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters, because being able to reach far away things is dead useful in fighting crime apparently.

The live-action series was announced alongside two more, The Greenhouse (about rival houses in a school uniting to conquer evil) and Lalaoopsy (based on the line of dolls and about six friends and their pets living in a whimsical world).

“With roughly half of our 75 million members regularly watching kids content, we’re happy to expand our original slate with these three great series,” Andy Yeatman, Netflix’s director of global kids’ content, said in a statement. “We know kids love Netflix and that’s in part because they never really outgrow us.”
