The Apprentice 2012 winner Tom Pellereau turns talons to safe nail-clippers for babies
Apprentice boffin Tom Pellereau is hoping his latest invention is up to scratch as he unveiled a safe nail-clipper for babies.
The past winner of the BBC1 show turned his talents to talons once again after previously creating a curved nail file.
Pellereau and his business partner Lord Sugar - who gave him his break through the TV series - launched the Nipper Clipper this morning.
The new gadget includes a safety spy-hole that allows parents to trim nails safely and includes a file to smooth rough edges.
It also comes with a Timmy Tickle Baby app, created in conjunction with child psychologists, to distract youngsters while their nails are trimmed.
Pellereau, who has become a father himself, came up with the idea after talking to parents about how difficult and painful it can sometimes be to trim children's nails.
He said: "I think there is a real gap in the market for a nail clipper that can cut babies' nails in a safe and controlled manner."
Pellereau added that it could "take the stress out of cutting your babies' nails and make it a fun and easy experience".
The businessman's firm Stylfile have opened a pop-up shop at Neal's Yard in Covent Garden to show off the new product.
