The Simpsons used Drake’s ‘Started From The Bottom’ in an episode

As Jasper AND Drake would say, 'what a time to be alive.'

The Simpsons has quietly been enjoying quite a good season this year, and that continued this week with the episode “Gal of Constant Sorrow”

It centred on Bart bringing back a homeless woman after accidentally taking out her shopping cart, and when she handed him a fistful of crumpled dollars in return for him letting her live in his closet, a montage of Bart spending the money began, quite surprisingly and uncharacteristically set to Drake.

The scene parodies the music video for "Started From The Bottom", with candy instead of ticker tape raining down in the store. Bart’s new-found riches also earned him the luxury of Lunchlady Dora actually using the food-handling gloves when dishing up his coleslaw in the cafeteria.

This might actually be a case of The Simpsons giving Drake a shout out for his recent reference to the cartoon, the title of his What A Time To Be Alive mixtape having originated with Springfield senior citizen Jasper:
