The Walking Dead season 10 trailer

The latest cast member to be killed off The Walking Dead has revealed they shot a sex scene with a surprise character that was later cut from the show.

*Spoilers follow for the show’s latest episode*

Following a violent showdown with Beta (Ryan Hurst), Laura (Lindsley Register) died in the season 10 episode “Stalker” – a moment that caused controversy after the outing failed to show other characters acknowledging her death.

Register opened up about her own feelings on the moment in a new interview with The Independent, which you can read here, but she also revealed tantalising details about some scenes that she had filmed with characters Rosita (Christan Serratos) and Eugene (Josh McDermitt) – one of which was a sex scene.

“I filmed other scenes of her interacting with Rosita and with Eugene that the audience will never get to see,” Register said, adding: “We all shoot stuff that never makes it to the screen.”

She continued: “There were scenes of me and Rosita starting to become friends where she and I like kill zombies together. I save her life at one point. And we filmed a really fun scene where me and Eugene get it on.”

Elaborating upon the sex scene, Register said the moment would have occurred in season eight – this was corroborated by writer Corey Reed, who co-wrote episode "Time is After" with Matt Negrete.

“One day I’m on set and our director is like, ‘I can’t tell you why but you’re gonna love the next episode’s script.’ I get it and there’s this scene where Eugene’s in the Saviours’ compound and the walkers have got in. I think we’re gonna die so I come into his room and we have sex. I’m like, ‘Don’t think too highly of this – I’m only doing it because we’re gonna die.’ He’s all shaken. it was so funny.”

Reed confirmed the news on Twitter, saying that "working on this was one of my favuorite times in the writers room. We couldn't stop laughing at the things Eugene could do or say."

He also shared one of Eugene's lines: "If it’s all the same to you, I’d like to keep my socks on,

This moment would have proved a huge talking points for fans of the long-running series. Just last week, viewers expressed their bewilderment at a controversial sex scene involving Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Alpha (Samantha Morton).
